Your conversations are private.

Songwriting is personal. You might share things in a session that you wouldn't say out loud — a memory, a loss, something you're still figuring out. That's the whole point. Stanzai is built for that kind of honesty, and we treat it with the respect it deserves.

No one at Stanzai reads your conversations. No one reviews your lyrics. No one looks at what you wrote at 2am. Your sessions are yours — stored securely, visible only to you, and never accessed by us unless you explicitly ask for technical support and grant us permission.

We do not sell, share, license, or monetize your personal data, your creative work, or your conversations. Not now, not ever. That is not our business model.

How the AI works

Stanzai uses AI to help you write. When you send a message, it's processed by our AI engine to generate a response — lyrics, concepts, style prompts, feedback. Your message is sent, processed, and the response comes back. That's it.

Our AI provider does not store your messages for their own purposes. They do not use your inputs to train AI models. Your conversation is not reviewed by any human on their side. Once your message is processed and the response is returned, it is not retained. AI provider privacy policy

What we store

Your account: An email address and a securely hashed password. We never see or store your actual password.

Your songs and sessions: Lyrics, concepts, style prompts, song DNA, and conversation history from your sessions. This is stored so you can pick up where you left off and access your work across devices. It is encrypted in transit and protected by row-level security — the database enforces that normal application queries only return rows belonging to your account. Administrative access is limited to authorized operators and is governed by our internal access policies.

Your preferences: Theme, settings, and toggles. Stored locally on your device.

What we don't do

We do not read, review, or monitor your sessions or conversations.

We do not use your songs, lyrics, or creative work for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party.

We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or advertising cookies.

We do not train AI models on your data.

You own everything you create

Every lyric, concept, and style prompt you write in Stanzai belongs entirely to you. We claim no ownership, no license, and no rights to your creative work. You can export all your songs at any time from Profile → Export All Songs.

You can delete individual songs from your library — they're removed from both your device and our servers. You can request complete account deletion by contacting us, which permanently removes your account and all associated data.

Where your data lives

Your account and songs are stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS, Americas region) with row-level security. The app is hosted on Netlify. Your data is also cached locally on your device using browser storage for offline access. We do not use tracking cookies.

Changes

If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Continued use of Stanzai after changes constitutes acceptance.

Welcome to Stanzai. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Stanzai, a songwriting companion built around the craft of songwriting. By creating an account or using Stanzai, you agree to these Terms.

What Stanzai is. Stanzai is a crafted system for songwriters, developed around original creative infrastructure: a phase-based song-development workflow, DNA-driven creative guidance, genre-aware craft rules, concept-freshness architecture, anti-cliché systems, structural support across the arc of a song, and Suno-optimized sonic direction. Selected AI model components are integrated into this system to handle specific generative tasks within Stanzai's creative framework. The songwriter drives every decision; Stanzai supports the craft.

Stanzai is operated by Stanzai LLC ("we," "us," or "Stanzai"). If you don't agree with any part of these Terms, don't use the service.

1. Stanzai is in private beta

Stanzai is currently in private beta. This means:

Access is by invitation only. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Data you create (songs, lyrics, style prompts, sessions) may be lost or reset, even if unintentionally. The service may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, upgrades, or other reasons.

You are using Stanzai at your own risk. We strongly encourage you to export your work regularly using the built-in export feature and keep your own backup copies of anything you don't want to lose.

2. Who can use Stanzai

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Stanzai. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that happens under it.

3. What you do with Stanzai

Stanzai guides you through the full arc of writing a song — finding a concept, shaping its structure, writing lyrics, refining craft, and building a Suno-optimized style prompt for audio generation. At every phase, Stanzai offers creative guidance, suggestions, and revisions shaped by its own craft architecture. The decisions about what ends up in your song are always yours. You approve, revise, or reject every element as you go.

4. Your content

You own your content. Lyrics, melodies, concepts, notes, and any other material you create, input, or finalize in Stanzai are yours. We don't claim ownership over your songs.

Limited license to us. To operate the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, transmit, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing Stanzai to you. This license ends when you delete your content or close your account (except where we're required to retain it for legal reasons).

We do not train AI on your content. Your songs, lyrics, and conversations within Stanzai are not used to train any AI model operated by us or by any subprocessor.

5. How Stanzai generates content

Stanzai's creative architecture — its workflow, craft rules, DNA system, concept-freshness systems, structural guidance, sonic direction, and the prompt engineering, routing logic, and system design that drive them — is Stanzai's original work. Selected AI model components are integrated into this architecture to handle specific generative tasks. What Stanzai produces is the output of this crafted system, shaped by the songwriter's choices at every step, not raw AI output passed through to you.

A few things to know about content generated through Stanzai:

Output isn't guaranteed to be original. Generative AI components, even when operating within Stanzai's creative architecture, can occasionally produce text that resembles existing works. You are responsible for reviewing anything Stanzai produces and deciding whether it belongs in your song.

Output isn't guaranteed to be perfect. Sometimes Stanzai will miss the mark on a specific suggestion. The system is designed to serve your craft, not to replace your judgment.

Songs you create in Stanzai are yours. The ideas, decisions, revisions, and choices you make at every phase shape the song — you're the one writing it. You are free to use, publish, and monetize your finished songs anywhere, including on Suno.

6. Third-party services and subprocessors

Stanzai relies on a small set of third-party providers to operate. These are subprocessors to Stanzai's service, not the service itself:

Suno is a separate AI music generation platform. Stanzai helps you prepare lyrics and style prompts intended for use in Suno, but Stanzai does not generate audio and has no affiliation with or control over Suno. Your use of Suno is governed by Suno's own terms.

Anthropic is a subprocessor for AI model components integrated into Stanzai's creative architecture. When Stanzai's system determines a workflow step requires AI-generated text, relevant context is sent to Anthropic's API and the response is returned into Stanzai's system for further processing and delivery. Anthropic's handling of data sent to their API is governed by their terms.

Supabase provides our database and authentication infrastructure. Your account data and song sessions are stored through Supabase.

Netlify provides hosting for the application.

We're not responsible for anything these third parties do, don't do, or change.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Stanzai to create content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or infringes on anyone's rights. You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent the service, or to extract Stanzai's creative infrastructure (including its prompts, rules, routing logic, or system design). You agree not to share your account credentials with others, or let multiple people use one account. You agree not to use automated tools to interact with the service. You agree not to abuse AI features (for example, by spamming requests, trying to extract system prompts, or trying to bypass Stanzai's creative architecture to use the underlying AI components directly). You agree not to use Stanzai to impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

8. Intellectual property

Your content is yours. See Section 4.

Our stuff is ours. The Stanzai name, logo, interface design, creative architecture (including but not limited to the workflow design, craft rules, DNA system, concept-freshness architecture, anti-cliché systems, prompt engineering, and routing logic), software, and overall product are owned by us. These Terms don't give you any rights to use, copy, or reproduce any of this for any purpose other than using the service as intended.

9. DMCA and copyright

If you believe content on Stanzai infringes your copyright, you can send a DMCA takedown notice to stanzaiapp1@gmail.com including: a description of the copyrighted work; a description of the infringing material and where it's located on Stanzai; your contact information; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you own the copyright or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner; and your physical or electronic signature.

We will review and respond to valid DMCA notices.

10. Fees and payment

Stanzai is currently free during the private beta. We may introduce pricing in the future. If we do, we'll notify you in advance, and you'll have the option to continue using the paid service or stop using it.

11. Termination

You can terminate anytime. Close your account from the Profile settings. When you close your account, your content will be deleted from our active systems (we may retain backups for a limited period as required by law or for operational reasons).

We can terminate too. We may suspend or close your account if you violate these Terms, if we need to shut down the service, or at our discretion during the beta period. We'll make a reasonable effort to give you notice, but we may terminate immediately in serious cases (like if you're using the service illegally).

12. No warranty

Stanzai is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, about the service. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

We don't warrant that the service will be free from errors or bugs, that content generated through Stanzai will be accurate, original, or useful, that your content will be preserved without loss, or that the service will meet your specific needs.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of content, lyrics, songs, or session data; loss of profits, revenue, business, or opportunity; indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages; damages arising from content generated through Stanzai that turns out to be similar to other works; or damages arising from third-party services (Suno, Anthropic, Supabase, Netlify).

Our total liability to you, for any and all claims arising from or relating to Stanzai, is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of Stanzai, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights (including copyright, privacy, or publicity rights).

15. Privacy

Your use of Stanzai is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is accessible within the Stanzai application under Profile → Legal → Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll notify you via email or through the app, and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Stanzai after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

If you don't agree with the changes, your remedy is to stop using Stanzai and close your account.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Stanzai will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Horry County, South Carolina. You and we both consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain in effect.

18. Miscellaneous

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Stanzai regarding the service.

No waiver. If we don't enforce a provision of these Terms, it doesn't mean we waive the right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You can't transfer your account or your rights under these Terms without our consent. We can transfer our rights (for example, if we're acquired).
